After just one day volunteering at the Shower Power site, I was forever changed by the people I met. It reminded me that daily hygiene may be commonplace for some of us, but a luxury for our unhoused neighbors. Hygiene accessibility is a crucial piece of the housing crisis. I hope Shower Power efforts can expand and grow to help more of our fellow New Yorkers look and feel their best.

Volunteer Opportunities
Shower Power offers a range of volunteer opportunities, including working with guests at the Shower sites, helping with laundry, and packing hygiene kits.
The winter months are upon NYC, and Shower Power has closed outdoor operations for the season. Please check the calendar below for volunteer opportunities helping one of our great partners with their shower operations.
